E-OilÉ at the 4th Meeting on Innovation in Food Packaging in the Basque Country
On 24 September 2026, project coordinator GAIKER took part in the 4th Meeting on Innovation in Food Packaging in the Basque Country. The meeting was organised by ONTZI, the Basque Food Packaging Innovation Hub, at the Ilgner Building in Barakaldo, near Bilbao. It brought together food companies, solution providers and other players across the packaging value chain to discuss how to respond to Europe’s evolving packaging regulations and market.
At its stand, GAIKER showcased its expertise in packaging materials, polymers, recycling and the circular economy. It also displayed prototypes and early-stage materials from its projects, including E-OilÉ. Visitors could learn how the project is developing biodegradable packaging for small, single-use portions of oily products.
