The E-OilÉ project participated in the Renewable Materials Conference 2025 (RMC25), held in Siegburg, Germany. This conference is one of Europe’s leading events on the future of sustainable and circular materials. The annual conference gathered hundreds of experts, innovators, and stakeholders to explore the broad scope of thematic areas around renewable materials, such as: de-fossilising the chemical industry, market application bio-based, sustainable and CO₂-based polymers, biodegradation technologies, and recycled polymers.
Anna-Catharina Röper attended the event to follow the latest developments in biodegradable materials, a key area of focus for E-OilÉ, which is developing safe, bio-based packaging solutions for oily food and cosmetic products.
It was inspiring to see how research and industry are collaborating globally to develop new feedstocks and bring biodegradable packaging closer to commercial reality. These discussions reinforce the importance of E-OilÉ’s mission: developing safe and sustainable biodegradable solutions for monodose packaging.” said Anna-Catharina Röper from the Danish Technological Institute (DTI).
Highlights from the conference included:
These insights will help strengthen E-OilÉ’s work and its alignment with EU sustainability standards.
