ILSI Europe Symposium 2026

This symposium by ILSI Europe brings together scientists, industry professionals and regulators to tackle pressing issues in food safety, nutrition and sustainability. Over two days, participants will explore cutting-edge research from ILSI Europe’s Task Forces, covering topics from gut microbiome health and food allergens to advanced risk-assessment methods and environmental safety.

During this workshop, experts will discuss the challenges and opportunities in establishing safety evaluation criteria for recycled polyolefins and polystyrene—materials that currently lack harmonised guidance from EU authorities.

E-OilÉ will contribute to the programme with a dedicated 40-minute session, presenting how our biodegradable material solutions fit into Europe’s broader transition toward safer, sustainable, and circular packaging systems.
